HERBAL PORRIDGES FOR IMMUNE ENHANCING

Immunity plays a vital role in the today’s contest .To protect your body from the diseases and to upgrade your body resistance against the diseases majorly from the communicable diseases is done by immunity .For that purpose, to boost your health today we are going to discuss about herbal porridges for immune enhancing that are using in Sri Lankan traditional medicine and also in the Ayurvedic system of medicine. For the preparation of immune enhancing herbal porridge you can use leaves of one / few types of the below mention herbs
  • · Indian pennywart- Centella asiatica
  • · Little iron weed - Vernonia cinerea
  • · Holy basil, Sacred basil -Ocimum tenuiflorum
  • · Egg plant- Solanum melongena
  • · Atalantia ceylanica
  • · Turkey berry- Solanum torvum
  • · Curry leaves-Murraya koenigii















Ingredients for the preparation of herbal porridge for 4 persons

Ø One/few types of above mentioned leaves
Ø 1-2 chips of fresh ginger
Ø 2-3 garlic cloves
Ø 100g of rice ( its better to use traditional rice variety to get more benefits )
Ø Salt to the taste
Ø Handful of scraped coconut

Method of preparation;

1. Cook rice by adding more water
2. Take juice from the leaves by crushing them, then add scraped coconut in to the residue
     of the ground leaves ,chop it by adding water and squeeze the juice in to another vessel
3. When rice is properly cooked and turn in to semi solid nature,you can add the above
    squeezed juice ,salt to the taste, ginger and garlic cloves to rice and keep stirring
4. Heat it under mild flame for few minutes and take it off

How to use

Ø You can use one cup of this herbal porridge early morning to the empty stomach
